vacation.. i need one.

Hurray! finals are officially over! For some reason this was the hardest exam week I have ever had... molecular biology, mmcom, physics,... the exams never ended. Maybe also it was because this is my 8th semester and if I didn't take four semesters of french, weight lifting , and two semesters of tap class....  I could be graduating!

So, my euphoria is short lived, because I begin classes again on Tuesday. Bleh! I need a vacation! Currently, my two sisters and brother in law are living my dream vacation. That's right... harry potter world! I'm so jealous! Provo can't even get above 60 degrees. Or I could do Kauai ... I'm seriously not even that picky.

Sooo enticing. Hopefully we get to go somewhere hot soon. I'm sure I can talk Brian into Disneyland right? Who can refuse the happiest place on earth?

181st annual general conference

Oh I love general conference weekend! PJ's, yummy breakfasts, Mo Tab, warm cozy voices lulling you to sleep... (just kidding!)

This general conference I felt was especially inspiring. I loved hearing from all the apostles and just couldn't seem to get enough! This year the theme seemed to be about how lovely marriage is... I completely agree. :) Richard G. Scott's "The Eternal Blessing of Marriage" was one of my many favorites.

We got tickets for the Saturday morning session of general conference! I am fine just standing on the corner with a sign for tickets, but Brian gets a little embarrassed, so this year I asked my bishop in February just to be sure.

We then spent the afternoon at gateway. Cassie and I vowed to take lots of pictures, but it is difficult with uncooperative husbands. These are the only pictures we got.

Oh well! Maybe I will get more pictures with a smiling husband next year :)

Grapefruits and Icing Sugar

I used to hate grapefruits. I realize now, that I had never actually tried one until a few months ago when Brian got me to try my first bite. I admit, I have been hooked since that day. Of course I had to put heaps of icing sugar (Confectioner's sugar, or powdered sugar for all you Americans) on for me to enjoy them, but they still have health benefits... right?

On Monday I decided I was ready to be off sugar... well sweets and candy anyways. I usually did this once or twice a year in high school, but since meeting Brian, I haven't had the will power.
Today I ate my grapefruit with no sugar! And it still tasted good!

I feel like this was quite the accomplishment. :) Yay for me.
