Happy Birthday my little Monkey!
On the night before Owen's birthday I just sat and cuddled my not so little baby. It is so crazy to think about all that has happened in one year. Having a baby really shows you how fast time moves. Last year I was pregnant with a massive belly and then I actually gave birth to a teeny tiny 7 pounder. Now I have a walking and talking (babbling) baby. Holy cow. So much has changed in my life! But it is definitely all for the better!

^^I had these Oreo cake pans that were the inspiration for Owens party. The previous times we had used the cake mix that came with the box, but they don't sell it anymore! So when we tried to actually make the recipe on the back of the box... it was a lot harder. The first picture is try #1 the night before his party. We did everything perfectly! or so we thought :( It still tasted pretty good though. I decided to try one more time the morning of his party. One half kinda worked, and then the over half just crumbled and fell out of the pan. Can you even believe it.. I tried one more time.... and...
^^ Voila! 3rd time's a charm! I couldn't even believe it! (mostly thanks to mandi for telling me about bakers joy) Thank goodness or Owen wouldn't have had a first birthday cake!
^^ I have hardly let Owen have any sugar his whole life, but for his birthday he had a huge piece of his oreo cookie icecream cake... since I had baked for like 6 hours to get it right. He ate the ENTIRE thing. He was so happy and after about 45 minutes of munching and watching his party guests it was gone!

^^ Owen had almost 30 guests to his party! I think he has about the cutest bunch of friends ever.
^^ We did a milk and cookie themed party because what else do babies even really like! I was happy with how it turned out!
