almost 2

My baby is almost two! I want so badly to document every single thing he does and says, but somehow I have really let it slip these past months. In the past few months Owen has become sooooo chatty. He literally narrates everything he does or we do.

We watched The Green Dinosaur the other day, and we laughed at how much he understood and knew. "Oh no Green Dino! Dada dino? baby dino! Oh no, dada dino wa-wa." He is so cute and we just want to eat him up. He has so much personality and is the busiest almost 2 year old I know.

Owen tries absolutely everything we say. Even, if we aren't talking to him, we hear him repeating what we say.

Some of my favorite from the past few months are:

mama fast feet! (as he shows me how fast he can run).

cold peas (he often requests frozen peas and peas and milk)

happy out-gide

wake up mama! (when i lay on the floor and stop paying him attention)

sit down owie (when he stands up in his high-chair and he knows he isn't supposed to)
Loves paw patrol.
Hates bigs, but sings a songs that goes a bug. a bug. a bug. a bug
been having nightmares about big trucks and coconuts.

The other day I picked him up from his crib with his monkey in his hand and said "Love you monkey, big hug." I couldn't believe my not even 2 year old is talking so much!

At about 20 months he just called everything yellow. It was definitely his favorite color and word of the moment. Then about a month later he suddenly just knew all his colors. He even knows brown, white, and black. He is continually surprising me with telling me ooh heavy, or cold, or hot.

 ^^ Owie's first official hair cut at Cookie Cutters in December. He did so good! Some Daniel Tiger and yogurt ( he calls it walkie .. hehe) and he was good!

 ^^ Christmas was the best this year. Owen was spoiled silly! He had the best time.

One of my favorite things he said the other day was he was naming things that were home. He said slide home, mama home, bah-bee home (baby), and Jee home (and pointed to our picture of Jesus on the wall. I thought my heart was going to explode with happiness. When we drove to church that Sunday he even pointed at the church and said Jesus home. I don't even know how he knew that.

He is the sweetest boy ever. He never hits, he gives hugs to everyone, and is so obedient. And always says Ok mama to anything I ask him to do.

He naps well, he eats like a champ. Does it sound like I think he is the best?! It is because he really is! I love him so so so so much.

^^Owen fell out of the car, and got the worst scar ever on his nose. It still hasn't healed completely :(

 ^^ My dad got really sick in February so Owen and I flew up there to visit him. They are so cute together.

^^ Owen loves loves to play with his friend Jadyn, he has all these little girl friends and he is so cute with them!

^^ Owen always asks to go poo poo in the potty, so we bought him a little potty to sit on, and he has even gone a few times! // Nana mordue in a bowl is one of his favorites. (banana smoothie)

^^ He wanted to have a bloody nose just like his dad. // haha no pony tail he said. but i think he is a pretty cute girl.

^^ Family pic on our anniversary! 6 years! // we celebrated on Monday by going on a date to IMAX National Parks. It was amazing!


The other day, Brian took Owen to cafe rio while I was teaching piano. He said there was another little girl with her mom that was laying her head on the mom's shoulder all cuddly. Owen wanted to copy her, and was in a silly mood, so he copied her even though he never ever cuddles. He was being goofy, and when the other mom noticed,  he popped his head up and said YA BABY! and everyone in line just laughed. He is seriously so cute and silly and we love him so much!

^^ Owen's Canadian citizenship came and he was so cute and proud of his little certificate. He kept saying yay CANADA! I am one proud mama.

I can't believe in one month I will have a two year old. He seems so big and little all at the same time!

17 and 18 months

Owen is so so so fun these days. His teeth finally came in, and daylight savings time came and went. And he is HAPPY. and silly. And the best 18 month old I could ever ask for.

Owen says over 50 words now, and he wishes he could talk more! He tries almost any word we ask him, and gets frustrated if we don't understand it. He just says it like 100x time in a row until we guess it or distract him.

He still asks to go outside all day every day. And we go outside he could collect rocks for hours and hours.

He tries to share his milk and soother with all his toys and stuffed animals in his books.

He still can out eat both Brian and I most days.

He recently became obsessed with Frozen. He asks to listen to Let it go everytime we are in the car, and requests me to sing it to him at night. When we put on the movie he crawls up on the couch and gets comfy and then dances along with the song. He favorite TV show is Paw Patrol. When he says Paw Patrol he sticks his tongue out and its the best thing every.

He knows when he is being silly, like running around naked or making funny faces. He thinks everything is great and laughs and play all day long.

^^Owen has been into the ipad lately // and into eating cardboard and foam basketballs

^^ Halloween pjs. bought in size 3T to hopefully fit for another year, but I'm not so sure.. // Walking to get Hot Chocolate in October (frozen since it was crazy hot).

^^ Courtney and Brian threw a great Halloween party up at Dave and Denise's Midway place. Last minute I was able to figure out a costume. I love dressing up!

^^ Grandma and Grandpa VB took Owen trick or treating with his cousins since Brian and I were at Garth Brooks. I'm sad we missed it and can't wait for next year!
