ENGAGMENT pictures.

So after we got engaged. We started wedding planning immediately. brian is the planning type and i'm the type that is horrid at making decisions. so.. i put it off bit.. but we finally chose our fantastic photographer and booked the date. The girl who took our pics was nicole carman. check out her blog. http://nicolecarmanphotography.blogspot.com. she is incredible! we just loved her. so january 25th. at 2:00 we drove out to an old deserted warehouse by the provo cemetery and had our sesh. i had a few minor hair panic attacks since i forgot all my touch up makeup and combs at home, but brians mom lisa was there to help and everything ended up being wonderful!

engagements!!

I, jennica, am officially engaged. Brian promised me it wouldn't be at Christmas. I would tell him, "Oh I just wish I had a ring on my finger." He played it out like he was offended and was sad that he couldn't afford a ring for me yet. I had hopes it would be in mexico on the beach, but supposedly his stock was selling january 7th, and by the time he got a ring we were hoping end of january or even valentines day. I was sad, but of course willing to wait. Dec. 27th.. in mexico. Brian was bringing his backpack with him everywhere. This included on every outing, beach trip, dinner, even to and from the bedroom to the living room. I am completely oblivious to everything so of course didn't notice. Sunday night everyone is asleep. It's around 11:30 and me and brian are just so happy and so completely in love that he decides that it was time. His plan was this cute little wedding planner book he had bought and organized and entered information in. He was going to flip through it showing me all the great stuff it helped with weddings. Then he was going to say.. Look there is even a spot telling you how to get engaged. There was 10 sheets of paper with steps labelled with getting inspiration, gathering info, purchasing, etc. He had made these all and used real pictures of my ring in all of them. I just don't think it gets anymore tender than that. So this book was in the other room. He had asked me if i wanted to go for a walk on the beach. I said yes and he left his plan behind. He was being quiet, but me being such a chatterbox didn't connect anything. I was 99.9% sure we weren't getting engaged! So we are walking up and down and up and down the beach. No marriage, or love talk or anything. Just regular chitterchatter. But it was definietly on my mind. Everytime he stopped or turned toward me my stomach would drop. But I kept assuring myself that there was no way he had a ring in mexico so I should stop worrying about it. After awhile, the tension increase. He was acting weird. I even went so far to say, "Brian stop. I know you don't have a ring, and we aren't getting engaged. So stop acting so weird. You are acting just like the night of our first kiss." But we kept on walking up and down the beach... Finally we were near the path back up to the hotel. I told him I was ready to be finished walking on the beach and I wanted to go back. I even walked away pouting a bit. I felt weird and was totally nervous. Finally he starts. "Jennica, you promise you love me right?" "Ya Brian of course. What's going on?" "We are so happy right now and I know we can always be this happy. We started out our relationship with me being goofy and awkward and that's how you fell in love with me. Will you make me the happiest man in the world and be my wife?" I was shocked. SO shocked. I kept saying. brian your taking this joke to far. then when he was down on one knee with a ring i yelled. are you serious?! I jumped onto his knee and hugged him while taking the GORGEOUS ring and putting it on my own finger... oops:D He stops me and says "Jennica you have to say something first?" I say "YES, YES, YeS, YES yes!!!!!" AND we were engaged!!!! just like that. I couldn't be happier. It was INCREDIBLE. So its May 1st in the Oakland temple and I just can't wait.
