Owen's first Christmas/New Years

Owen's first CHRISTMAS

Christmas in Danville was so wonderful this year! Although it is hard for me to accept a non white Christmas, if I have to, that's the place to be. :)

^^Owen's 4th flight. Only dad could make him go to sleep// Baby in a sink.

^^Holden just loves Uncle Brian// Dave's sweet ride // A Christmas fry // Christmas Eve at In n' Out

^^The first gift of Christmas! Christmas jammies// Family pic, in christmas pjs.

^^Opening presents on Christmas morning// Twinners

^^ The Van Blerkom siblings from oldest to youngest// family stocking picture

^^The amazing tree! PRESENTS!/ Matching Fire Dept. Shirts.

The best Christmas ever! I loved having Owen this year for Christmas. Babies make everything special and fun, but it was extra fun having him around for Christmas. He was even interested in his presents, or at least the wrapping paper and boxes.

^^Owen and his BFF Brooks, sitting in Brooks cute Christmas chairs. Brooks was a little unsure about sharing, but Owen didn't seem to notice so the friendship is still a go.

NEW YEARS with the Dittmanns

^^Owen getting his Christmas train from Grandma and Grandpa Dittmann

^^. Brian, Janeen, Cody, and I went snowboarding on New Years Day!

^^ 3/4 of these snowboards were Christmas presents!

It was such a good holiday season! It was so fun to have so much family around and so many people to play and hold Owen. I love family! I wish we lived closer, Utah feels a lot lonelier with Brian back to work and all the family gone. Can't wait for the next family get together!

7 months

Hello 7 month baby. I keep telling people he is only 6 months, ah he is just growing so fast. I can't believe we are on the downhill to one year!

This is Owen waiting for his 6 month doctor appointment.

This month Owen:
-is 19.38 pounds (80%) and 26.5 inches (52%)
-travelled to Danville for his first Christmas
-got 2 bottom teeth over Christmas break (teething is not fun)
-got up on his hands & knees and rocks, but no crawling
-still can't roll belly to back
-very independent, wants to do everything himself
-a finicky nurser. if i shift, or he hears a noise, he is done.
-has mastered sitting up
-loves to eat/slobber on cardboard, strings, and tags
-naps 1-2 hours 3x a day! and sleeps at least 12 at night (with just one night feed)
-is a master at putting his soother in.
