eleven questions. eleven tags.

My friend Aubrey tagged me in this 11 questions challenge over a week ago now!. I have been so excited to do this post, but so busy. But, now that today is my official last day of University, I found time!

Rules:
Post these rules.
Answer the 11 questions that the tagger posted for you.
Create 11 questions of your own to ask the people that you're about to tag.
Tag 11 people and link them with you post (and let them know they've been tagged)

1. Why did you start blogging?

I was reading my little sister's blog and I realized there was this whole other side of her that I didn't know. I was intrigued and I wanted to start a blog of my own. I was planning on keeping my blog private and for it to be a type of journal, but after about 6 months people found my blog and I enjoyed their comments so win win!

2. Favorite store?

Hands down it is  (emphasis on the J -hehe). I discovered it as a freshman in college (they dont' have it in Canada!) and I have loved everthing in that store since that day. I want to be able to buy everything at that store, I wish it wasn't so expensive!

3. What cheers you up on a crappy day?

Brian. He is so good at making me feel better.  A hug from him, and watching some Gossip Girls together with a cup of tea and my favorite worn out blanket. Nothing better.

Do you see where I am supposed to fit in there? Best spot ever.

Also, the song "Don't Rain on My Parade" can almost always put a smile on my face. I just LOVE it.

4. Where do you see yourself in five years?

Whoa, that is crazy to think about. I hope to be graduated from PA school (with a baby on the way?) Maybe Brian will be in PA school/working as a firefighter. And living in California? Or anywhere new really.

5. Chocolate or Vanilla?

I am most definitely a vanilla person when it comes to candy/icing/cake/icecream. So I guess that makes me just a vanilla lover.

But a good Lindt chocolate bunny is pretty high on the list. And I do enjoy myself some Chocolate Puffed Wheat ( a canadian delicacy). I pretty much enjoy any and every dessert. Chocolate and Vanilla go so well together, how come I have to choose just one?

6. Spring Must Have?

I want a maxi dress. Last year I thought they were weird, combined with Brian always calling them "maxi pads". But I am totally converted. I definitely want this long loose look for spring!

7. All time favorite move?

I pretty much like every movie. If I feel entertained when I leave the theatre, then I think the movie was a complete success. I especially like chic flic's and musicals. I guess my favorite would be Breakfast at Tiffany's because I like to re-watch it over and over.

8. Who/What inspires you?

I would definitely have to say Brian. He has the most amazing heart and would do absolutely anything from his friends or family. He is constantly thinking about other people, and putting their needs about his own. I wish I could be just like him. He makes me want to be a nicer person.

9. Random fact about yourself?

A few people may know this, but I most definitely have arachnophobia. The moment a little creeper comes into my sight of vision, the scream has left my mouth, and I am running away. I get scared almost every morning and the stupid like black mark on our shower curtain that I am positive is a spider about to crawl on me. I once spent 5 hours on my bed because I saw a spider in the kitchen and Brian wasn't home to kill it.
Good think Cambridge Court lets us get an exterminator every 3 months. (oh my goodness it's already time to spray again!)

10. Dream travel spot?

Brian and I spotted the Maldives on Pinterest and they look like an amazing island to travel too.

But I also want to go back to Europe with Brian.

But I also want to go to Africa and work on my french in a medical relief camp. Ah,  guess I have many dream travel spots!

11. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

To be a stronger person during hard times. Just over all more even-tempered and tough.

WOW, ok that was long and a lot of information on me. So now it is your turn! Just like Aubrey, I feel to lazy and non-creative to choose 11 more questions, but feel free to mix it up. I'd love to here more about you!

hare krishna hare rama

Today I went to Festival of Colors for my second time!

Sophomore year Brian and I went together only a few weeks after we met.
We actually ended up getting separated in the thousands of masses of people because I thought if I ran ahead to pee, that when I came out I would magically find him again... dumb, naive thinking of mine. So, I figured the only thing I could do was stand on a roof to look for him. Since he is so tall, and I was dancing on a roof we luckily spotted eachother and were amazingly reunited.

Junior year, Hare Krishna weekend was spent in Danville planning a wedding, and last year Brian couldn't go because he was sick or something, so I stayed home with him.

But this year, he couldn't come again and he was at school all day, and I figured.. why not? I could just sit around all day, or I can throw chalk in people's faces. So I went with Chanpants and her crowd.

Ya, there were other people in there, but I didn't know them too well, and so I just took pictures with Chan. She is my bestie, so it only makes sense.

christmas/valentine's day/presidents day

Holiday Recap:

CHRISTMAS
Yes, the matching pajamas were worn almost the entire holiday.

For some odd reason our family had never hung our stockings before this Christmas, but thanks to Brian this tradition will stay!

VALENTINE'S DAY

Brian is the absolute best valentine doer. No one has ever made me a candy bouquet before! Brian knows me too well! Yum, it's gone already.

These flowers were mysteriously hid in our apartment. When we woke up that morning I Happy Valentine's day to Brian, and he reached around behind our bed, and behind pillows and blankets he pulled out this beautiful bouquet. Haha, I had no idea how long they had been there, but you have to get creative with hiding spots when your apartment is 100 sq. feet.

Brian also made me a Valentine, he thought I would like an old-school one. I have never loved a valentine so much. It's proudly clipped to our fridge.

PRESIDENT'S DAY

This was a much needed long weekend. It was going to be spent in Idaho, but sadly Courtney and Christopher was sick. But we did lots of relaxing, moving watching and eating.

These delicious orange rolls were made from Brian's aunt's blog. Her blog is amazing, and she is practically famous!

Brian made appetizers for dinner one night. I will say that his Buffalo Chicken Blasts compete with Cheesecake Factory's. A perfect match for our lazy weekend.

And final amazing thing that happened was.....

a new backpack!! Yup call me nerdy, but I moved right out of my trashy old backpack and into this beautiful beauty. Brian wasn't sure why I was so excited about a backpack, but I realized this was my first official brand new backpack that I got to pick out myself since elementary school.

Next holiday to look forward too EASTER! don't worry I have already eaten two Lindt chocolate bunnies to prepare for the holiday :)

Photography Class

So this semester I am in a photography class. I needed some extra credits and so I choose Photography! I love it, and I'm glad I'm learning how to shoot my Canon 60d DSLR on manual mode. It was definitely intimidating to be in my class with a bunch of photography majors while I was still learning how to turn on my camera.

Here are a few of my assignments so far this semester

a low key image

a landscape at sunrise
a portrait of someone you don't know

a detail picture from a landscape

a portrait of the person you know best

Brian is in the fire academy this semester, and is loving it. He got made Class Officer/President this semester and we were so excited! He is seriously going to be the best fire fighter out there.

For my last assignment the subject was supposed to be doing something that showed their personality. And luckily after a few weeks of begging, Brian let me take some pictures of him. (probably helped that it was Valentine's Day!) I'm happy to have some pictures of him in his gear. His instructors even told me I could come out anytime and take pictures of them in the fires, so hopefully there will be more pictures to come!
