where are you luggage?

Christmas time is an interesting time of year to travel. Everyone is so anxious to be home for the holidays but the feeling in the airport feeling is just kind of grumpy. Although, how could you be grumpy at christmas! Sadly, Today, I added to the grumpy airport spirit.
First, i have to leave my bestest friend brian for a week, and second.. who likes being in an airport.. for 6 hours.
I left salt lake airport at around 1:30 and arrived in Las Vegas around 2:30. I was on my way home and luckily traveling with Monica Redd which made the whole experience better. We were on a connecting flight and it should have been simple. Instead the last 6 hours consisted of hectically running back through security, making two loops around what we though was the international and lastly the 15 min job to the real international building. When we arrived, Air Canada said the flight was closed. And we couldn't fly out until the following morning! Yuck.
Next, we met our good friend Chuck from Delta. At one time was talking on two phones at once. I creepily took a picture.. don't worry. The best he could do for us was back to Salt Lake, then to Seattle by ten and the next morning fly to calgary! luckily Monica and i battled through the 3 hours and received our refund. we purchased a flight from West jet and it flies out in a couple of hours. We even ended up saving a few bucks and went out to dinner. But where in the world is our luggage? Hopefully everything works out. For now. Im off to watch some gossip girls. because chuck and blair always make me forget how stressed i can be.

up late

so recently i was inspired by my sister to start a blog. after reading hers i felt like i saw a different side of her than when we just sit and chat. instead of rushed .. hey whats new.. mom and dad did this.. bye. its like real stuff. things that make each of us unique people. i must admit, i am intimated to start my own when hers is so fabulous! but my journal writing is lacking. and tonight seemed the perfect night to start.
its 3am. its the end of finals.. with only one more early tomorrow morning. and here i am just creating a blog.
my thought for the day is christmas is literally the most greatest holiday ever invented. i just can't understnad how can any other holiday can be someones favorite. my boyfriend brian likes halloween. some like birthdays or valentines day. but christmas is incredible. here is a couple of my favorite christmas traditions/memories.
andy williams, precious moment nativity, hiding the sheep in the christmas tree from the precious moment nativity, wassail, cinnamon candy canes (although i swear they are extinct), mom eating grandma's orange chocolates, sheriann playing bell boy, mj show, kenny g, victoria strongs christmas program, trichoir concert, pushing our christmas tree out our upstairs window, finding the music note ornament months later when the snow melted, croconole, christmas pjs, sexxy kitty waterton retreat, mainstreet christmas tree, my oldest sister waking us up earlier than my younger sister, dads new nativity for mom each year, the reindeer homeade stockings, boyds bear, polar express, amy grant.

well. this is all i can think of tonight. i just can't make my list quite as long as janeens. ive got so much to learn about blogging. :D i can't wait for christmas!!!
