24 and pregnant

Yes it is true! Finally! I have been wanting to be pregnant for almost 2 years now! And June 2014 our little babe will be here.  I love love love reading other pregnancy blogs so I decided to try my hardest to document my own pregnancy.

So here is the story... I had taken a few pregnancy tests the last few months and they had been negative :( so for October I decided I would wait until I had missed my period before I was allowed to take a test. But, October 2nd I woke up feeling really nauseous, and nervous and I just had a feeling I had to take a test. At 7:45am (supposed to be at work!) I took the test!

Blurry, but there is 2 lines!
I was late for work and Brian is known to be a little grumpy in the morning so i just dashed off to work. In hindsight, this was not the smartest move, but can you blame me? I was in complete shock! I couldn't even focus I was so excited and nervous and surprised. At lunch I looked up our due date and found out the little baby was already the size of a poppy seed. I couldn't even believe it! A whole poppy seed. Haha.

I kept it a secret all day, and by 5pm I felt so sick and nauseous, I asked to go home from work early. I knew Brian would read my face instantly when I walked in the door, but I didn't have any superb creative ideas. So, I snapped a screen shot of my phone saying your baby is due June 8th and sent it to him just as I walked into the door. He was so surprised! But he mostly couldn't believe that I didn't tell him all day and then it was over a text message.

We are so excited and we can't even wait to find out the gender and everything else baby coming up! What will this baby look like? Hopefully not what morphthing.com tells us... yikes.

I guess we will see in 160 days!

I'm back! 2012 in Review

Although January is almost over, I really want to do a 2012 year review post. So what if I'm a little late...? I only blog when I feel like it, and I don't want to feel pressured to blog... but then suddenly 8 months go by and a thousand good things happen! Hopefully this will help my small number readers feel caught up!

JANUARY
Snowboarding with the Van Blerkoms. Sadly Brian didn't come last year because he was in the fire academy, so the second picture is from yesterday when we finally got to go together :)

FEBRUARY
Valentine's Day. Spoiled silly. Brian just knows me too well.

MARCH
Holden our first nephew was born. Let the baby hormones begin!

APRIL
Oh my goodness I graduated! I knew since I was in grade 4 that I wanted to go to BYU. I was shocked at how excited I was to hear my name and cross the stage. I miss being in school, but I'll be a BYU enthusiast forever.

 MAY
We went to Banff and stayed at the famous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel to celebrate our 2 year anniversary.

JUNE
My first trip to disneyland! 15 hours of pure happiness and really sore feet. This day deserves more than one picture. And world of color blew my mind!

JULY
I ran my first 1/2 marathon. It was so fun, I kept getting shivers at every mile marker because I could hardly believe I was actually doing it! I ran it in 10min 5 second miles, which was more than my goal. I was one proud cookie.

AUGUST
We went home for my BFF Kimber's wedding. We spent 10 wonderful days gopher hunting, boating, in waterton, and hanging out with my family.

SEPTEMBER
Brian and I took a spontaneous weekend trip to Denver Colorado. This is the Red Rock Amphitheatre where every famous music artist has played. We need to go back for a concert!

This is what I looked like mountain biking in the colorado heat...

and this is what Brian looked like...

OCTOBER
This month was both mine and Brian's birthday month! We got the iphone 5 (monumental) Dave and Denise got married, my mom and brother came to visit. AND it was halloween where we last minute dressed up as firefighters. A very succesful and possibly one of my favorite months of the year.

NOVEMBER
We went home to Danville for American Thanksgiving. Brian, Tiff, and I made the whole dinner ourselves! (mostly Brian and Tiffany if I seem to remember right.)

and finally...
DECEMBER
This picture pretty much describes all of Christmas. Lounging in pajamas and socks, Holden, and presents!
