End of Summer - Owen 15 and 16 months

I guess i'm only posting every 2 months lately. My heart just isn't in blogging so often! Blogging is so much work, I want to see my posts printed in books so I can see my efforts! But for now i'll just plug along. Here is a bajillion kajillion pictures of Owen these past 2 months.

Owen 15 months!

^I took Owen to visit BYU for his first time. I hope he goes there! GO COUGS // With his new little sign language please he mostly gets whatever he wants.

^^meeting Great Grandpa Dittmann for the first time. He was so cute with Owen, he could tell Owen loved his walker and just let him hop right up there. // 4 generations.

Brian wasn't going to come to Canada this summer because he was changing centers at his work, but last minute he found a way, so he drove through the night to surprise Owen and I for a few days! It was the best surprise ever!

 ^^ Throwing rocks into Waterton Lake was one of my favorite memories growing up and it was one of my favorite things I did with Owen when we were there.

 ^^ I love Waterton// It's so fun to make these same memories that I had growing up with my own baby.

 ^^ He was in heaven with rocks, and space and gopher holes to throw his rocks down.

 ^^ Owen didn't do too well on the ride to Fairmont so we took a few stops in Beautiful BC.

^^ I love my little sister and we have such a good time together! I wish we lived closer.

 ^^Owen is sooooo loved by my family. It was so fun to spend so much time with them this summer. // IT was definitely naptime.

^^ We have been going to Holladay Library time, Owen mostly runs out and tries to escape but its good to find things to do with this busy toddler of mine.

 ^^Owen loves our friends goldendoodle Gus. He was feeding him his snacks and kept calling him Guh guh. it was so cute! we can't wait to get our own dog someday// showing his muscles at the park

Lately Owen

-says no a lot

-likes to fold his arms for prayer

-stops and picks up all the rocks on our walks

-wants to go outside the minute he wakes up

-throws laundry and everything else he can find downstairs

-been giving out lots of kisses

-makes the silliest faces

-had his first little hair cut at 15 months (sept. 7)

-sings his own made up song ba ba BAH... !

-still loves this soother

-is officially napping once a day.

-likes to spin, and stamp his feet

-can climb on the couch by himself, and climbs everywhere

-has 12 teeth, and his 4 eye teeth are coming in soon!

^^Owens hair has grown in pretty even, but the back had a little bit of a rat tail growing in so I just gave him a little trim. (Sept. 7th) I didn't want to do it, and I was so sad even though it was the smallest amount of hair ever. I thought that would do the trick for awhil, but his hair is starting to grow so fast!

Owen's doctor was so impressed at his 15 month appointment with how much he can say. I can't seem to ever catch them all in a video, but he can say over 25 words.

he also has tons of animal noises and quite a few signs. And he will try lots of other words that we have him try! He is getting so chatty and i love hearing him attempt all his words. I couldn't figure out why Owen was calling his soothers gah go, then he starting saying his shoes were ghoes, and I realized he uses a 'g' sound for his 's' words and I started understanding more of what he is saying. It was a proud mom moment.

^^ so sad if mom says we have to come inside // so happy if we get to go outside!

 ^^ We went to the Utah State Fair and it was so fun. I've wanted to go for a few years. Owen doesn't love the rides but I love cotton candy.

 ^^ Porter loved the rides, he was so funny, and Owen was a little unsure. // We got to ride the zipper! we seriously flipped like 18x.

 ^^ We had so much fun at the Gateway Childrens Discovery Museum. I love how much there is to do with kids in SLC.

 ^^It was pouring out and Owen just wanted to stand their in the rain. // haha his own banana.

^^ hes hungry so finding just finding his own snack // the bear touque is back!

Brian's friend from work had a cabin near Yellowstone, and last minute a few weekends go we decided to go. IT was so pretty! And I had never been to Yellowstone and I love National Parks!

^^ We have had so much fun at hanging out with family at Dave and Denise's new Midway house. Happy big 60th to Aunt Leslie. :)
